Video Coming Soon
Our introduction video is in production. It will introduce the company, the team, and the simulators.
Welcome to Signature-Sky Aviation
An introduction to Signature-Sky Aviation: who we are, what we do, and how flight simulation opens the door to aviation.
1. Briefing
Your session starts away from the simulator with a short conversation: what you would like to try, whether you have flown before, and what the plan for the session is. If you have a goal, a scenic flight over the mountains or a first look at a landing, say so.
2. Panel tour
Next you sit in the simulator and your guide walks you around the panel: the primary instruments, the controls you will use, and the few switches that matter for the session. Nothing is switched on until you know what it does.
3. Hands-on flying
This is most of the session. Typical first flights include:
- Straight-and-level flight and gentle turns.
- Climbing and descending while holding a heading.
- A look at the pattern around an airfield, and perhaps a landing.
The simulator can be paused at any point, so if something is unclear, say so and the picture freezes while you talk it through.
4. Debrief
Finally you step out and talk about what you flew, what felt natural, what did not, and what a sensible next step looks like.
Preparing
No preparation is required. If you would like to arrive familiar with the panel, the lessons in the Understanding the Cockpit path are a good ten-minute read.
Session formats and durations are placeholders until confirmed by Signature-Sky Aviation.
Key takeaways
- A session has four parts; briefing, panel tour, hands-on flying, and debrief.
- You do not need any preparation, but reading the cockpit lessons first makes the panel feel familiar.
- Ask questions throughout. The pause button exists for exactly that.
Educational material on this website is for familiarization and general interest. It does not replace instruction from a certificated flight instructor, and no simulator time described here should be assumed to count toward any pilot certificate or rating unless Signature-Sky Aviation has confirmed that status in writing.
