Guided Demonstrations

Following a Guided Demonstration

Guided demonstration videos let you watch a session before you fly one yourself. Here is how to get the most out of watching, and what to look for.

Video Coming Soon

Planned: a guided walkthrough of every simulator system.

Simulator Demonstrations

Simulator Overview

A walkthrough of the simulator lineup, from the desktop panel to the panoramic installation, and what each one is best at.

Why watch first?

Watching a complete session before flying one turns an unfamiliar environment into a familiar one. You will recognise the briefing, know where the instruments are, and have seen the shape of a first flight.

What to look for

The scan

Watch the pilot’s attention move between the outside view and the instruments. In a demonstration video, the narrator usually calls out which instrument they are checking and why.

Control inputs

Notice how little the yoke moves. Most of flying a light aircraft is small, smooth pressures and anticipation rather than large corrections.

Pitch and power together

When the aircraft climbs or descends, listen for a power change and watch the attitude change at the same time. The pairing is the whole lesson.

An active way to watch

  1. Pause at a decision point, for example as the aircraft approaches the runway.
  2. Say out loud what you think the pilot will do next.
  3. Play, and compare.

This simple habit turns passive viewing into practice.

Demonstration videos

Guided demonstrations will appear in the Video Center as they are produced. Each one will link back to the lessons it illustrates.

Demonstration videos are planned content. Until they are published, this page serves as a viewing guide.

Key takeaways

  • Watch the instruments as much as the view; the pilot's eyes are moving constantly.
  • Notice how small the control inputs are.
  • Pause the video and predict what the pilot will do next, then check.

Educational material on this website is for familiarization and general interest. It does not replace instruction from a certificated flight instructor, and no simulator time described here should be assumed to count toward any pilot certificate or rating unless Signature-Sky Aviation has confirmed that status in writing.
